So, yeah, today I was bored, so I decided to play Maplestory. Later, I went to Henesys and was immediately killed by Cygnus. At that point, there were just two. Then, I came back to see if they were gone yet, and I discovered that there were now five of them; (one’s offscreen.) Right now, the game page says Maplestory is in fact offline. Just thought I’d share this with you guys.
[Edit] Checked game page again, it seems they’re actually doing a server maintenance. But what I find odd, is that I wasn’t booted out of the game until I exited because of lag-not sure if lag was caused by maintenance though.
[Edit Edit] I went back to the official game page, and saw this message:
‘We will be performing an unscheduled server maintenance on July 1, 2012 to address an issue involving hackers generating items, which also involved summoning the Empress Cygnus boss in towns.
Thank you for your patience.’
So that’s the end of that.
